I love when my room gets so dark all I can see are the vague lights of stars on walls & ceilings, my bright-as-noon clock radio, and the stormy sky outside my window.

Birds.
Fly away while you can.
This reminded me that I can still picture vividly the shadows from my bedroom in Lemont when my family moved back here from Northern Wisconsin. I remember the feeling of getting to know the new shadows cast in my new surroundings. It is amazing how much a part of our lives these little details become. You never cease to evoke emotions with your words, girl. You amaze me.
